These terms govern your use of Afterword ("we," "us"), a subscription service that turns your church's Sunday sermon into a week of ready-to-use content. By starting a trial or subscription, you agree to them. Questions any time: hello@afterword.church.
Each week, we work from your church's most recent sermon (via the public feed or materials you provide) and deliver a content pack to your inbox — clips selections, captions, a devotional, a group guide, a midweek email, and related materials, depending on your plan. Packs are drafted with the help of software, including AI tools, and reviewed by a person before delivery. Your church reviews and approves everything before publishing it; you are responsible for what you ultimately post or send.
Your church owns its sermons and everything you provide to us; you grant us permission to use those materials solely to produce your packs. Once delivered and paid for, the content in your packs is yours to use, edit, and publish for your church's ministry. We may only use your materials as an example or sample with your written permission, and any public samples are anonymized.
Packs stay within what was actually preached and honor the guardrails set in your intake profile. Even so, a human at your church should review every pack before it's published — that review is part of the service's design, not optional fine print.
Don't resell the service, use it to produce content unrelated to your church, or use it in any unlawful way. We can decline or discontinue service where these terms are violated.
The service is provided "as is." We work carefully, but we can't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end service for non-payment or violation of these terms, with notice where practical.
If these terms change materially, we'll update this page and the date above; continued use after a change means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Afterword's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
