Effective July 12, 2026
Afterword ("we," "us") turns a church's Sunday sermon into a week of ready-to-use content. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what we need to run the service, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@afterword.church.
We occasionally introduce Afterword to churches by email, using contact details the church itself has published (a staff page or a public church directory). If you'd rather not hear from us, reply with a quick "no thanks" — we keep a suppression list and won't contact you again.
We use the information above to provide and improve the service: producing your weekly content pack, delivering it by email, processing payments, answering replies, and keeping simple records of our relationship with your church. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your information for third-party advertising.
Only the service providers that make Afterword run: Stripe (payments), Tally (forms), Brevo (email delivery), Google Workspace (email), Netlify (website hosting), and Notion (internal records). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
We keep account and billing records while your subscription is active and for as long as needed for legal and accounting purposes afterward. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, except where we're required to keep it.
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email hello@afterword.church and we'll take care of it. You can cancel your subscription the same way, any time.
Afterword is a business service for churches and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page and the date above.
